What year are you in
Well, it’s 2010, it’s amazing how the times flies. To get you going into the year, I thought I would give you some insight into what kind of year you are entering. If any of you have not heard about numerology, let me give you some background information on it.
Numerology is the study of the symbolism of numbers. It is traced back some 10 000 years or more ago to Egypt and Babylonia, and Pythagoras is behind this system of numbers. By calculating the numbers of your birth date, you can determine your personality, strengths and talents, obstacles to overcome, needs, emotional reactions and how to deal with these.
As with nature, there are continuous cycles of life and we fall part of them. By becoming in sync with the larger patterns of life we can, as I call it, ride the wave and find ourselves saving time and energy by doing things at the right time in accordance with the universe. This takes trust and patience, but knowing what part of the year cycle you are in, can also give you insight. You always retain your birth numbers for as long as you live, which tells you what you are about, but additional to this, we also go through regular, progressive cycles through all the primal energies are articulated through numbers one to nine.
How to calculate what year you are in:
You need to add up the numbers of your day of birth, the month you were born in and then the numbers of the year you are currently in, for example, if a person’s birth date is 5 August and we are in 2010, you would add up 5 + 8 + 2 + 1 = 16, then you add up 1 + 6 to get a single digit which would be 7. This means that this person is in a number 7 year.
And here is what the different years mean:
Year One: The Beginning, Creativity and Confidence
This is the beginning of a new nine year cycle and is a good time to start new projects and plans and/or make a complete change in your life. This might relate to work and business, relationships, for your soul journey or any other area. The first year of a cycle is one of creativity, of opening to new opportunity with confidence. Be daring and innovative. Your physical strength and energy will be high this year and allow you to put extra effort and energy into planning, of seeing how you can walk forward in the best way possible. It is a time to act, to keep one’s focus and to work hard to get things going. Enjoy the new adventure!
Year Two: Cooperation and Patience
During year two, it is best to take what you started in the first year and to continue building on it, expanding the foundation. Projects you started during the previous year need more help and the interaction of others. It means working with other people in some way, finding your boundaries, defining yourself in your new course of work or activity in terms of your relationships with others. It’s about building relationships. Whatever you started in the first year will develop slowly so during this year, it is best not to force or rush things. Be patient and accept delays, detours or stoppages. Pay attention to the small details and be aware that you may be tested with your self-control and emotional sensitivity.
Year Three: Expression, Creativity and Fun
This is a year where you can relax more and have more fun. Your horizons grow wider and you will see and experience more. Generally it is not a serious year. It is time to reconnect more with friends, new and old, and be more social. Be sure to keep track of your goals as you may have temptations to completely drown yourself in fun, fun, fun. Self expression is important during this time. It is a great year to expand on creative gifts, especially those connected to the arts and verbal skills. Enjoy this time to let go a lot more, especially after the first two years of hard work.
Year Four: Stability and Process
This is a year of hard work where responsibilities can increase. It is time to create stability, a crucial period, a time not for playing around but for ensuring that the walls put up from the foundation are solid and sturdy. It is a year where one needs to knuckle down, review and reflect, catch up on anything overlooked, and make sure your preparations are complete. Weak areas in relationships and business must be strengthened and a general tidying up of all matters is necessary. One may feel like nothing is happening, like you are walking one step forward and two steps back, which means it can be quite a frustrating year. With all the hard work required during this year, take extra care of your diet and health as this can be challenged.
Year Five: A New Beginning and Freedom
This year is lighter and much freer than the previous one. It is a year of change, where you are likely to make some fresh new starts. With the movement in new directions, this year will provide new opportunities and the chance of new growth in many different ways. It is a time to let go of patterns and routines and to focus on feeling free. If you are feeling constricted in any way, seek out new directions. In a nutshell, this more relaxed year is liable to bring major changes to your life, your career, your family situation or even possibly where you live. In saying all of this, remember to keep your goals in mind and plan how to move forward with them.
Year Six: Responsibility, Love, Home and Family
During the sixth year, it is time to give back. Your responsibilities and deepening concern with regard to loved ones, close friends and family become your focus. Sacrifice will be part of this year’s energies but lots of blessings will make this year a huge success. This year will likely be filled with love, romance, and/or deeper compassion with those you care about. This year is a time of generosity and abundance, but also a year to acknowledge and to appreciate the higher vision of what has been, what is to become and what lies beyond.
Year Seven: Inner reflection, understanding and Trust
It is a year of self-introspection where you reflect and relook at who you are, where you are going in your life and gain more understanding of yourself and your connection to soul. This is your year, where you focus on yourself and give yourself lots of quality time. Soul nurturing exercises such as meditation, yoga or anything which is relaxing would serve you greatly this year. During this year, you will question the deeper aspects of your being, look to find the answers to all those plaguing questions you have about self and your reality, and work to strengthen the trust in self. By focusing on your talents and gifts during this year can give you the chance to refine them. This tends not to be an action year or business year, but one where writing and study can serve you greatly.
Year 8 – Abundance and Power
The eighth year is your power year where you receive abundance, rewards and acknowledgement, as long as you did what was necessary in the previous years. This is a year of activity, where you will feel more ambitious after the year of introspection. You may gain major achievements and have things going your way this year, as long as you take advantage and act. If you have overlooked anything from the previous years, this may come up to clear.
Year 9 – Completion, Letting Go and Wisdom
This is the end of your nine year cycle and with all endings, it would serve you to take stock of all that you have been through, take what you need and let go of the rest. It is a time of quiet reflection which always leads to wisdom. It is a time for evaluation, a time to let go of old patterns and to create space for the new. Sometimes in letting go, this also means letting go of people in your life, but this is important for your movement forward. Clear out anything and everything that is dragging you down and start planning for what you want in the next nine year cycle.
No matter what kind of year you are having, I wish you one that is overflowing with love, abundance, peace and so much joy in your heart.
